How are recipients chosen?
C4C wants to ensure that each camera we provide has a powerful impact on conservation of clouded leopards and their habitat. The application to receive cameras will ask questions that allow us to best assess the impact of the cameras for each project. Part of the assessment will also be the resources available to the project and the feasibility of the project and its products.
What type of cameras will be provided?
Because the cameras come from various sources (private donation, factory refurbished, used and new), it is difficult to provide information on make and model of cameras. All cameras will be tested before being sent to ensure they are functioning properly. If you have special requirements for the cameras, please make sure to include that in your application.
What are the cost?
There is no cost to receive cameras from Cameras 4 Conservation. However, you will be asked to provide our organization with all photos from the cameras to a database. These photos may be available to the public to promote research in the area. If selected for a camera grant you will be given instructions on how and when to upload your photos.
